Books

MagiciansCards.com doesn't stock books directly, but one of Treece's other departments, CollectingMagicBooks.com, has a huge range available, new and old.

To see all card magic books, including general magic books which contain card magic, click here.

There's tons there for the amateur to the professional, but here are some recommendations for beginners.

For a complete beginner's course that guides you clearly through learning all the key basic moves and sleights, we always recommend Jean Hugard and Frederick Braue's classic The Royal Road to Card Magic. We have new and used copies in stock, click here for used copies and the image below for new.

In a similar vein, Roberto Giobbi wrote three books on card magic which don't require complicated sleights. Named Card College Light, Lighter and Lightest respectively, we stock them all. Click below to see the first in the series.

The above set was a spin-off of Giobbi's full course on card magic, which guides the reader from the very simplest of moves through to expert sleights. Card College 1-5 really is a full course in card magic and a superb grounding in the art. We keep them all in stock over at CollectingMagicBooks.com, click below to see Volume One.
